I don’t know about you, but I tend to hit a mid-afternoon slump every day. Around two or three o’clock in the afternoon, I start to feel very tired and out of energy. If I have the time, I’ll indulge in a little nap… but I don’t have time to nap every day! If you need to fight exhaustion, try acupressure!
In short, acupressure uses pressure (rather than needles, like acupuncture) to release natural painkillers called endorphins. It may also help block the transmission of pain signals through your nerves. Studies from the University of Michigan are now showing that acupressure can help fight fatigue!
Apply deep, probing pressure with fingertip, knuckle or soft-pointed object, such as a pencil eraser.
Press this Points and Relief Exhaustion:
1.On the largest crease of the inner wrist, on a line with the thumb
2.On the tip of the shoulder; pick up your arm and look for the a dimple toward the back of the shoulder.; put your finger in the dimple, lower your arm and begin stimulation
3.One palm width below the navel; another point with similar effects can be found two thumb widths below this one
If you have not found relief, try the same points on the opposite side of the body, or go back and try a related or similar symptom or body area.
